Cyril Madiba Empowerment Foundation
We are a non-profit organisation founded by Cyril Madiba.
We inspire change and enable growth.

Our vision is to contribute to a changed society, one that is rid of the challenges of inequality and poverty.

We do this through executing on our mission of implementing practical programmes that empower people and organizations to develop and make positive changes in their lives and communities.

One of the Cyril Madiba Empowerment Foundation's (CMEF) flagship initiatives is a Youth Mentorship Programme (YMP) which is aimed at young people at tertiary level, unemployed graduates and young professionals. The inagurual cohort consisting of 17 mentees commenced in July 2021 and ended on 30 November 2021, having a tangible impact on the lives of young people.
The second cohort of 21 mentees ran from 1 February 2022 until 31 May 2022, with the third cohort impacting a further 25 mentees in the second half of 2022. The fourth cohort of 16 mentees started on 1 April 2023 and ended on 30 September 2023.

CMEF supports other non-profit youth development organisations through small monthly charitable donations. Through this initiative, CMEF currently forms part of the "tree of life" for the Cyril Ramaphosa Education Trust (CRET) Alumni Fund and the SAICA Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund.
